btCollisionObject vs btRigidBody

btCollisionObject vs btRigidBody
Is it completely safe to use btCollisionObject for all nonmoving objects (such as terrain, buildings, etc.) and btRigidBody for moving static objects? Am I going to be missing out on anything if I do this?
