How to increase the mass ratio of the contraint?

Hi everyone! Is there anyone who has tried improving the constraint of Bullet or ODE? How to increase the mass ratio? use more precise ODE solver or ....??Can you give me some suggestion or some resource? I know that Vortex of CML have implemented large mass ratio in its constraint and can do crane simulation,but it is too expensive and it is not open source so you could not know what algorithms in it! Thanks!
